Description

Drawing Process:

For “The Emerald Seelie Fae” fairy drawing, my process includes several steps. First, the sketch is drawn softly with a light colored mechanical pencil or graphite to draft the idea. I follow up with several shades of different wax colored pencils to add depth and a sense of atmosphere to the drawing. Then graphite is drawn on top to tighten and clean the drawing as well as add details. The colored sketch remains intact and subtly visible beneath the graphite of the final drawing. This process captures not just the final illustration, but also preserves the journey from sketch to finish with each layer of color. I hope you enjoy the “Sugarplum Seelie Fae Drawing”!

“The Emerald Seelie Fae” Story:

“Magic is a magnificent force that surrounds all living things. In the realm Terratoff, magic is so abundant that all sorts of wonders are made possible. There was once another world, known as “Twom” (The World Of Man) that was also overflowing with the power of magic. Creatures known as “The Fae” were the guardians of this power, until it began to fade away from their realm! Only precious shreds of magic remain, survived through the stories of the fae that mastered its power. Some hope these creatures still linger in the hidden places of the land…. some wonder if they ever existed at all…

Twom legend tells of the crystal fae that lived deep within the underground caves, protecting their precious stones from the greedy hands of the “surfacers” above. Emerald seelie fae awakened in the spring, emerging from the shadows to bring tokens of peace to only the most deserving young hearts that crossed their paths.

If a proper offering was made, the emerald seelie would bestow one of her beloved emeralds to the worthy, blessing them with peace, balance, and healing. When this fae was thoroughly impressed, she would hide herself amongst the stones she gave, to be taken home in secret with her new “friend”. There she would remain in the house of the human, disguised during the day as a sparkling stone while she observed in silence. At night she’d emerge and wander the home of her host, hiding blessings of secret enchantments to aid them with each new day. ” I hope you enjoyed “The Emerald Seelie Fae” drawing!
